"The church/cemetery photo has been positively identified as the 'original' Bethel Baptist Church building/cemetery, which is located just South & a little East of Sharpsburg (Christian County). This was the first of four buildings that have housed the Bethel Baptist congregation. This building was replaced in 1901/02. Current structure is South of where the original was located, away from the cemetery & up the hill, by the road. Hanging in the sanctuary is an artist's drawing which shows the four structures that have existed, from the original, to the present." Stan |
