FRY, QUERRY posted by Maureen Solomon on Wednesday, June 14, 2006

I am looking for information on Jesse FRY and wife Emeline QUERRY FRY ca. 1875-1880. According to the Macon County web site they are both buried here although they were married in Macon County and Jesse died in KS. Emeline died 1883, but I cannot find them on the 1880 census. I am hoping they might be on a local census and that there might be birth and marriage records for children Mary Ellen, Jana, Annetta/Marietta, Theodore, Winfield or Maud.

ERNST, PARIDO posted by Ann-Louise on Wednesday, November 29, 2006

I am looking for information about descendants to Jonas Alfred Jonsson ERNST, born June 24, 1852 in Husartorpet, Ömmastorp Östergård, Skede parish in Jönköpings county, Sweden. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1881 and died in Bloomington October 19, 1895. When he emigrated he emigrated together with his brother Johan ERNST. The brother later came back to Sweden and returned to the U.S. again in 1888. He must have returned to Sweden again because he died in Sweden. According to Emibas Jonas Alfred ERNST Jönsson (Jonsson) emigrates with his wife Anna Charlotta Jönsdotter and their daughter Thilda Gustava Jonasdotter ERNST. The wife Anna was born August 18, 1839 and Thilda (Mathilda) was born 1879, september 24. I find Anna, Thilda (now called Tillie) in the 1900 census for Bloomington, Minnesota. There is also a son called Carl born in 1881 in Illinois and he is working as a mine laborer. I also find the family in the 1910 census, still in Bloomington. According to the 1920 census Mathilda is married to a David PARIDO and her mother Anna ERNST is living with them. That is the last thing I can find about the family and I can't find the son Carl after the 1910 census. I would greatly appreciate any help in tracing these people and if Mathilda and/or Carl had children I would be very interested in finding them. The reason I'm posting this query here is that on Ancestry I found a WW1 draft registration card that I'm almost sure is Carl's. It says Taylorville, Christian county. He is then married to Edna Belle (Bella) Ernst. According to the card he is born Nov 22, 1881.
