Mrs Lois Rebecca (MOLER) TAYLOR married John CANFIELD 30 Dec 1889 in Taylorville. Both had been married before, and both married again yet a 3rd time. Lois died approx 1903, and her 4 children by 3 husbands were raised by her parents, Martin & Elvira MOLER. I hope someone has a record of Lois's death. John CANFIELD was the son of Elisha CANFIELD & Sara(h)GRIGGS, and was born between 1860-1862. I can find no record of him after his 3rd marriage in 1894. Any information on John, and especially on his father & mother, would be greatly appreciated.

My GGgrandfather, Major William Augustine NEWCOMB, was born in New Kent Co.,Virginia in 1799. He came to Illonois about 1830 with his second wife Mary Ann ARMBRISTER. He died 1876 in Pana, Ill. Mary Ann died there in 1874. Their children were Sarah Catherine, Eliza Jane, Tarynina Ann, James WIlliam, Mary Ann, Charles Hiram, William Henry Rives, Joseph Lewis and Thomas Jefferson. Where are they buried?

Ill. Mary HOWEN,born 1863,married William SMITH April 9,1884 Christian Co.Ill. later moved to Spencer,Clay Co.Iowa. Herbert HOWEN,born 1866, possibly moved to Iowa later. Fred HOWEN, born 1868. Tillie HOWEN, born 1871. Fannie HOWEN, born 1875, married a BENNET Goerge or Georgie HOWEN, born 1877, later moved to Milbank,SD. Cornelius HOWEN,born 1880, later moved to Ortonville,Minn. Henry HOWEN, born 1883, later moved to Riverside, CA. Any info or help in finding Christian Co. records on them would be appreciated,The Surname HAUEN may have been used as well as HOWEN.

Neihart(s/o Valentine and Katherine Elizabeth Schneider Neuhart) b. 30 Aug 1834 in Woodsfield, Mornroe County, Ohio d. 28 Dec 1903 in Pana, Christian County, Illinois m. abt. 1853 in Monore County, Ohio Barara Pfeiffer (d/o Heinrich and Barara Rauch Pfeiffer) b. 30 Mar 1838 in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland d. in Pana, Christian County, Illinois (no date on stone) Children: Frederick J Neihart (m. Anna Whitfield) Henry (m. Katherine Grieser) Caroline (m. possibly James Kerr) Mary Louisa William Rhineholdt (m. Mary Virginia Tribbett) Katherine (m. Michael Sheahan) Alvina B. (m. John Burks and then ??? Smith) Charles Richard (m. Martha Highnight) Daniel Valentine (came to Pana abt. 1874/75) I have dates for all these children. I also have most of their children as well. I have detailed ancestory of both Frederick and Barabara. I know there are still some Niehart's in Pana, would love to hear from you. My grandmother was Maella Niehart daughter of William and Virgie Tribbett Niehart. She was also known by her nickname Sal(ly). She later legally changed her name to Valerie. I always record her as Valerie Maella Niehart just to be on the safe side.

I am seeking information about the family of Marth Locker STANFIELD JACOBS b 1810 d 1886 near Taylorville. Her first husband was Ichabod STANFIELD b 1800 d around 1840. They had three children (Robert N., Sarah J., and Wesley). They moved to Christian County with Ichabod's mother, Temperance Dean STANFIELD in 1839. I would like to know if anybody has information on Ichabod's father, when Temperance died and where she is buried, and who her parents were. I would also like to know what happened to their children Sarah Jane STANFIELD, and Wesley STANFIELD. On 13 Sep 1842, Martha married her second husband, Samuel JACOBS (b. 1776 d 1851) and had two twin sons, Henry Washington JACOBS (b 27 Sep 1844 married Mary Elizabeth CROSS 2 Apr 1863 children Benjamin & Mary Lydia) and Thomas Jefferson JACOBS (b 27 Sep 1844, living in Iowa in 1894). I would like to know date and place of death for both Henry and Thomas,and any details about their descendants that might be available.

Searching for descendants of Francis Henry VICKERSON, born in June, 1859. He is shown in the 1900 US Census in Christian County Illinois, Taylorville Township, District 22, sheet 7. His wife was Augusta L. VICKERSON. Their children were Mary E. VICKERSON and Elizabeth F. VICKERSON. Francis Henry VICKERSON was my father's great-uncle. He was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada.

I am looking for information on George KOONCE, he was born about 1843 in Bond County, Il and was married in Fayette County, Il to Margaret Jane KELLY, family history tells of spending time in Pana. His son was George A. KOONTZ and he married Mary Etta COLEMAN, they are buried at Noffsinger Cemetery in Bond County, Il. Any information on George KOONCE and Margaret would be appreciated. Was wondering if they are buried in Christian County? George and Margaret died before 1891.
