BATEMAN, DICKEY, DICKY, PRICE, SIEFERT, STONEBURNER posted by Jayme Lebshier on Wednesday, April 4, 2001

I am researching my maternal grandfather's family in Christian Co. His name was Rolla Frank BATEMAN. He was born in Towerhill,Christian Co.,IL on 6 Dec. 1894 to George W. BATEMAN and Clarinda PRICE BATEMAN(m.1 Sept., 1881 in Christian Co.)Clarinda's family cabin is located at the Tri-County fairgrounds and apparently the Pana paper ran a large story on the family 4-5 years ago. I do know that Rolla's sister Edna married a Bill SIEFERT who was involved with the Pana Rose business and later they moved to New York. There was also a sister by the name of Lula and may have been more. Some of the related names are as follows: PRICE, DICKEY (DICKY), STONEBURNER I believe that the family has been in the area since it was Dane County.

Can anyone tell me if the HIMES, KIRKPATRICK & CHANEY Reunions are still held in Pana Park Pana, Christian Co, IL once a year? The reunion photo that I put on the site was one from 1936 before I was born I remember as a child growing up in the 1940s & 1950s we always went every July or August to the reunion. As a child I enjoyed the old stories the elders would tell. I live in New Mexico now. I would love to find out if there are still reunions in Pana or elswhere for the family reunions.
