If a Magistrate, what township? I believe he is a clue to the location of my gggrandparents Wm.C. HAINES & Cynthia THOMPSON as he married them in 1862.

IL in 1856. I do not know when or where James Curry died.

William L.H. LITTLE was killed January 25, 1919 when hit by a train in Pana. Is there a newspaper article or any historical information about this event? My great-grandfather was buried in Vernon, Illinois following his death. Thank you.

Looking for information on John Woodson JENKINS and his father Andrew JENKINS. JENKINS, John Woodson was born Jan 11, 1878 to Andrew JENKINS and Rebecca TENNY in Stonington, Illinois. He died Feb 1, 1958 age 80 years and 20 days. A native of 3 wars, Spanish American War, World War l and World War ll, John Woodson JENKINS was a retired Chief Turret Captain U S N with 20 years service. In 1958 he was survied by his wife Anna Elizabeth RICHARDSON JENKINS and two brothers, Harry E. MORRIS of Houston, Texas and Earl J. MORRIS of Houston, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. JENKINS made their home in Portsmouth, VA and resided in St. Louis for four years, moving to East Bonne Terre in 1950. If you have any information that can help me with this JENKINS family, or if you know the names of any funeral homes in Stonington, Illinois or any researchers in Ill who can help me, please let me hear from you.

Searching for any information on Emile and Victoria DERSCHE. they lived in Pana between 1918 to at least 1922. Their daughter Florence, lists her place of birth as France 8/17/1906 on her daughter's birth certificate. Florence married Gaston DEGAUQUE and had two children, Alma b.6/26/22 boen in Pana, and George b.?. Gaston DeGauque died young. His death certificate states that he was born 1/17/1902 in Belguim. He died 5/28/1928 in Tazewell. He had been in Tazewll 2 yrs at time of death and in the U.S. for 10 years. Florence later married a man named SERTERIDES. Florence died Sept.1984 in Crescent City, CA. Her mother Victoria, died with the surname LANGEL in Modesto Ca, no dates known. Alma (Elma) DeGauque married James Walter (Walt) HARPER on 9/10/1940 in Crescent City, CA. and died in July 7, 1991 in Central Point, Oregon. Alma/Elma and Walt had two sons, James Walter Jr. and David.

I am looking for more info and to share what I have with others interested in descendants of Emil CLAUSSEN(1814-1849) and Sarah LINGO CLAUSSEN HEWITT (1817-1910). Sarah lived in Christian Co. from about 1860-1910, while married to her 2nd husb., Ira HEWITT. Her children: James, Isaac Newton, Gideon, Jasper, William, Archibald aka Alexander CLAUSSEN, and Melvinna Jane HEWITT, who married John YOCKEY / YOCKY. Jasper marr. Lucy RICE and William marr. Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" ARTHUR in the County. William's dau. Sarah CLAUSSEN marr. William BLODGETT. Would like info on their descendants. Most of these lived in the Old Stonington, Owaneco area.
