I am looking for two familes. The first is MCDERMOTT. There was a John BRYANT, who was a sea captain and in the 10th Calvary. He had a son named Edwin Somers who married Cynthia Ann DOAN. She was the daughter of Joshua Doan and it is believed she went by the name Ann or Annie. Edwin and Cunthia were married and had three children, Somers, William and Susan. I have failed to find any reference to any of them except possibly the IL 1850 census. If any one can shed some light I would be most grateful.
