Taylorville Twp surveyed in 1839. In Dane Co then called Christian
Co. Taylorville Twp.....Horseshoe Prairie was a part of the territory of Taylorville Twp located northeast of Taylorville. It was sort of a
circular area surrounded by woodlands along the South Fork and then southward to
where Langleyville is now located and north to abt Buckhart Twp to a line along Panther Creek.
