PANA TOWNSHIP
Located in the southeast corner of CC, bounded on the South & East by Shelby Co., on the West by Rosamond Twp and on the North by Assumption Twp. This area was originally called "Stone Coal Precinct" due to the stone coal outcroppings along the Coal Creek. It was a part of Shelby County until 1839 when CC was formed.
The precinct was formed June 5, 1845. The name was changed to Pana Township, Sept 2, 1856.
