John C. Peters Dies at 1 P.M. Home of Sister

John C. Peters, aged 57 years died this afternoon at one o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank Klassen, 1101 West Vandeveer street, following an illness of two years duration.

The deceased has been a resident of Taylorville for the past twenty years and as a miner played a prominent part in the miners organization. He was a member of the U.M.W. of A. No. 613.

He is survived by four sons,---John of Independence, Mo. and Harry, George and Charles of Taylorville; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Kassen of Taylorville, and Mrs. Lizzie Danimiller of California, and one brother, Harry, of Taylorville. Three grandchildren and a number of neices and nephews also survive him.

The funeral services have not yet been made.

Funeral of John Peters 8 A.M. Thurs.

Funeral services for John Peters, who died yesterday at 1 p.m., at the home of a sister, Mrs. Frank Klassen, 1101 West Vandeveer street, will be held tomorrow morning at 8 o'clock at the St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. Fr. Merscher officiating. Interment will be made in Oak Hill cemetery.

The members of the local union No. 2513 U.M.W. of A. will attend the funeral in a body.
